ABOUT ME
I have always been creative and enjoyed being hands on!
I particularly enjoy sewing, paper craft, DIY, decorating and most importantly - baking!
I got married in 2015 and this really enabled me to go mad and make all the things I'd seen on Pinterest! All our wedding stationary-invites, seating plan, order of service etc. Bunting, table decorations, my bouquet - and of course - The Cake!
My earliest cake memory was from the age of 4 in my Grandmother's tiny kitchen, making a simple victoria sponge!
The influence of novelty cake making came from my Step-Mum who would make myself and my siblings fantastic Birthday cakes. My personal favourite was a mole emerging from a mound of demerara sugar soil!
When I had my Daughter, I wanted to create Birthday cakes for her when I could, and my step-mum would always be happy to lend me her kit.
I began to get more creative with cakes when I had had my Son and started to collect my own caking kit which now fills my sideboard!
There are many amazing cake decorators out there but my absolute favourites have to be Christopher Garren and Tracey at Black Cherry Cake Company - I aspire to have their finesse - they are just perfection to me <3
Must say a big Thank You to my Husband and my Mum who have been so supportive and always willing to ferry me about or get me a pack of butter at some ridiculous hour!

Let There Be Cake is a small cake business run by me, Shelley, from my home in Stonebroom.
My kitchen is 5 star council registered, Fully Insured & I hold a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate. You can be confident your cake is being produced in a clean and safe environment.
I create cakes and cupcakes for any occasion, be it Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings or Corporate Events. I also produce items for seasonal events, such as, Christmas, Valentines, Mother's/Father's Day and Easter!
All of my products are created using fresh,
high quality ingredients.
Traditional, modern, novelty and quirky cakes are all in my repertoire - really "the sky is the limit"
- I love a challenge!
